Flexible check-in through self-hosting
De Hoogmolen introduces a self-hosting concept. No physical reception and no time wasted on paperwork. Before arrival, guests receive a personal access code for the main entrance and/or their own room.
Need help? We are of course always reachable. Send us a message via Whatsapp (we create a Whatsapp group with each guest), through the booking platform, or give us a call and we are happy to assist you.

Cozy 4* holiday home for up to 12 people
Discover our cozy child-friendly holiday home at De Hoogmolen, ideal for groups of up to 12 people. The property features a dining room with a spacious sofa and a TV, as well as a fully equipped kitchen to cook and enjoy together, and a covered terrace.
For maximum comfort, each bedroom – a total of five – has its own bathroom, TV, and toilet, so everyone can enjoy their privacy. Additionally, there is an extra living room with a sofa bed and TV, perfect for relaxing.
From the dining room, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding nature with the pond in the distance, where herons often come to visit. Children can also have fun in our playground on the estate.
In short, everything is available for a carefree family or group holiday in a beautiful, natural green environment.

What can you expect from domain De Hoogmolen?
You stay on the grounds of a 500-year-old watermill that has been a protected monument and protected village view since 1995. This makes it an extra special and historical place to reside.
The surroundings of De Hoogmolen exude an atmosphere of tranquility, nature, and history. Located in the picturesque Abeek Valley, surrounded by green forests, a pond, and the babbling sound of water flowing past the mill.
De Hoogmolen itself is a charming watermill that dates back to the Middle Ages and currently serves as a modern hydroelectric power station that can provide us with sustainable energy.
The holiday home & all the renovated rooms are thoughtfully furnished. A refined combination of natural materials and warm colors creates a harmonious atmosphere. Enjoy a delicious Nespresso and tea in your room or from the fully stocked minibar (honesty bar) with refreshing drinks.
The presence of bicycle junctions, walking junctions, and a rider and carriage route network nearby offers various opportunities to explore the area. Riders and horses are more than welcome; horses can stay in a spacious pasture with stables on the grounds.
Besides walking, cycling, and horse riding, you can also discover other activities in the area such as skiing/snowboarding at the nearby indoor ski slope, swimming in the adjacent subtropical swimming pool, visiting local breweries, exploring surrounding nature reserves ...

Since September 2024, we have said goodbye to our summer bar, and there will no longer be any dining or drinking facilities on our premises.
But don't worry! We provide a stocked minibar (honesty bar) in your room, so you can still enjoy a refreshing drink in your room, on the terrace, by our pond, ...
